Fond du Lac man with active warrants apprehended after traffic stop, foot pursuit

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 29-year-old Fond du Lac man with active warrants was apprehended after a foot pursuit on Sunday.

According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, officers spotted a man wanted in connection to several crimes in the area of North Peters Avenue and West Scott Street around 11:35 a.m. on February 9.

The suspect reportedly got into a vehicle, shortly after a traffic stop was attempted. Then it turned into the Lakeside Garden Apartment complex where the suspect allegedly got and and ran.

The 29-year-old man was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.

He was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on criminal charges of disorderly conduct, theft, battery, and burglary with battery to a person from a previous incident in early February 2025.  He also had felony warrants for burglary and false imprisonment, five additional misdemeanor warrants through Fond du Lac County, and one misdemeanor warrant through Winnebago County. He now is facing a new charge of resisting arrest causing injury to a law enforcement officer. 

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department was assisted by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and City of Fond du Lac Fire Rescue.
