Tavern League launches county-wide SafeRide Program for NFL Draft, delivers over 3,000 rides on day one

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – As excitement builds around one of the biggest events in Wisconsin history, the Brown County Tavern League is stepping up in a big way to keep the community safe.

The League’s SafeRide Shuttle Program kicked off on Wednesday, April 23rd, and will continue running through Saturday, April 26th, as a free, reliable form of transportation throughout Brown County and the Lambeau Field area.

Day 1 of NFL Draft sees over 200,000 attendees as spotlight shines on Green Bay

According to a press release from the Tavern League of Wisconsin, last night on day one of the Draft, the service provided a total of 3,151 safe rides from participating taverns, a number expected to grow throughout the rest of the draft days.

The Tavern League says that with a fleet of 40 shuttle vans and nearly 100 volunteer drivers, the SafeRide program is prepared to accommodate thousands of passengers.

So you can leave the keys at home and go enjoy the Lambeau area and all of our member establishments: from golf courses to breweries, supper clubs, restaurants, and of course your traditional Wisconsin tavern. Just rideshare or taxi out to your destination and let us get you home and keep our roads safe.

For those attending the Draft events near Lambeau Field, dedicated shuttle stops will be available:

  • Across from Badger State Brewing on Tony Canadeo Run
  • On Lombardi Access Road near Lambeau Field

Shuttle Service Hours:

  • Friday, April 25th – 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.
  • Saturday, April 26th – 11 A.M. to 3:00 A.M.
