Rain tapers this afternoon, back to sunshine for Saturday

The Latest from Storm Team 5…

Not the greatest weather out there for day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft with rain showers paired along side a blustery wind and well below average temperatures. Latest scans of the radar are showing this wave of moisture heading off to the east and that will continue this evening.

If you are attending the draft tonight, it will just remain cloudy and breezy with temperatures in the middle to upper 40s. Lows tonight will fall into the middle and upper 30s as skies become partly cloudy.

Tomorrow will be a very nice day to put a close on these once and a lifetime event. A few morning clouds give way to golden afternoon sunshine. Highs will return to average in the upper 50s and low 60s, slightly cooler lakeside. Expect the middle 50s for the Brad Paisley concert Saturday evening.

Clouds will build in Sunday and cant rule out a spotty shower mainly north and west of the Fox River Valley. A southeast wind will warm us up into the low to middle 60s, once again cooler lakeside.

More showers are expected Monday morning along a warm front. Temperatures will rise into the upper 60s and low 70s for the afternoon and it will get a little humid also. We have to watch for some strong thunderstorms late evening and night Monday as the cold front drops in. A few more showers are possible Tuesday morning.
