LISBON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 4K student died Thursday morning after being struck by a bus in the parking lot of Silver Spring Intermediate School.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a call about the incident shortly before 8:45 a.m. The student was at the school, located on Silver Spring Drive in the Village of Lisbon, to transfer to a shuttle bus bound for Willow Springs Learning Center.

The shuttle bus, which was carrying students at the time, struck the child in the parking lot, resulting in their death.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation, and authorities confirmed that the bus driver is cooperating fully.

“Our thoughts are with the student’s family, friends, and the entire community during this heartbreaking time,” said Lt. Nicholas Wenzel of the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.
