Ariens Company in Wisconsin recalls over 6,000 snow throwers across U.S. and Canada ahead of winter weather advisory

(WFRV) – Brown County Public Health has shared with the public the recall of Ariens Snow Throwers due to a dangerous control lever laceration hazard.

According to a Facebook post from Brown County Public Health, Ariens® DELUXE-, PLATINUM- and PROFESSIONAL-series Snow Throwers have been recalled across the U.S., including Wisconsin and Canada.

The manufacturers are Ariens Company of Brillion, Wisconsin.

Consumers are urged to visit https://www.ariensco.com/safetyrecall for a list of recalled units.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says the impeller and auger assembly of the recalled snow thrower can keep rotating even after the operator control lever is released.
