Child exploitation sting in Marinette leads to arrest of two men

MARINETTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Marinette worked with several different agencies to conduct a child exploitation sex sting operation recently, leading to the arrest of two men.

According to the Marinette Police Department, the sting operation was conducted within the City of Marinette.

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old man and 31-year-old man were taken into custody.

The two men were each charged with:

  • Use of a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime
    • A maximum penalty of 40 years imprisonment
  • Child Enticement
    • A maximum penalty of 25 years imprisonment

The Marinette Police Department was assisted with the operation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, Niagara Police Department, Marinette County District Attorney’s Office, and Genesee County Sheriff’s Office (Flint, Michigan).
