Escalator malfunction at American Family Field injures 11 fans following Brewers game

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Milwaukee Brewers released a statement regarding an incident following the team’s game on Saturday afternoon.

According to the statement, an escalator at American Family Field malfunctioned while fans were exiting. The escalator increased its downward speed, resulting in 11 injuries.

The statement added that five of the injured patrons were treated at the ballpark, and the other six were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

“Our onsite physician and EMS were on the scene immediately,” the Brewers said. “We are appreciative of their quick response.”
