Fire on Appleton’s Superior Street brought under control, $75K in damages

APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – On Sunday morning, crews worked to bring a structure fire on Appleton’s Superior Street under control.

A release from the Appleton Fire Department states that crews were called to the 500 block of North Superior Street around 10:35 a.m. on March 30.

Nearly 41,000 without power throughout northeast Wisconsin after overnight storms

The first crews to arrive found fire coming from the roof of a detached utility building on the property. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported, and the damage estimate to the building and its contents is roughly $75,000.
