APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Appleton Police Department held its Junior Badge Bash on Monday night, inviting local children to prepare for Halloween.
The ‘junior officers’ were sworn in just in time for trick-or-treating as the spooky season approaches its climax on Thursday with Halloween fun.
Local non-profit hosts Salute to Service event to help give back to area veterans
“These brave kiddos are ready to help keep our community safe on Halloween night,” the post said.
The kids got to wear police uniforms and raise their right hand as they took the oath all officers take during swearing-in.
All-in-all, kids got to have a fun evening and spent time with the local police, learning and celebrating Halloween fun.
