BURLINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 21-year-old man in southern Wisconsin reportedly died after getting pinned between two cars in a parking lot of Menards and has now been identified.
The Burlington Police Department said on Facebook that they consulted with the victim’s family. The decedent involved in the incident on February 2 has been identified as 21-year-old Cody A. Dorn.

The family commented saying, “Cody was a hardworking, give you the shirt off his back kind of kid. He graduated from Burlington High School in 2022. While working at Menards, he attended WCTC, where he maintained a 4.0 grade point average. He recently graduated with his associate’s degree in accounting. In his free time, he loved playing video games and spending time with his girlfriend. He is loved and will be missed by so many”.
According to the Burlington Police Department, on February 2, around 9:10 p.m., a report came in regarding an accident in the parking lot of a Menards. A person was reportedly pinned between two vehicles.
When authorities got to the scene, the man who was reportedly pinned was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation reportedly showed that everyone involved in the incident was employed at Menards.
Burlington PD reports this is still an active investigation and no further information has been released.
