DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Earth Day is annually celebrated on April 22, and with the NFL Draft in town, it was a great opportunity for locals to help clean the Fox River Trail.
NFL Green, Verizon Wireless and the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance gathered at the Fox River Trail to help clean up the area as many prepare to visit Titletown for this week’s event.

However, it’s not the only cleanup event the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance is hosting like this, as the big cleanup is set for May 3. The latter event is set to be one of the biggest volunteer-driven environmental initiatives in Wisconsin.
The event kicked off at noon and lasted about an hour, with volunteers and officials helping to grab trash and other objects lying around, cleaning the Fox River Traill.
