Officers investigating deadly stabbing at a Wisconsin bar, suspect apprehended at scene

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WFRV) – One person died at a local hospital after they got stabbed at a western Wisconsin bar on Saturday evening, authorities say the suspect was apprehended at the scene.

A release from the Eau Claire Police Department states that just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, officers were called to the Do-Dodge-Inn after a 911 call reported a stabbing inside the bar.

Once first responders arrived, Eau Claire County Sheriff’s deputies and Eau Claire Police Department officers performed life-saving measures on the victim.

However, after the victim was taken to a local hospital, they were pronounced dead as a result of their injuries.

Officers say that the suspect was “quickly apprehended” at the scene and are calling the incident isolated.
