Middleton, originally drafted in 2012 by the Detroit Pistons, is believed by many to have been a vital part of Milwaukee’s 2020 to 2021 NBA Championship run.

The Bucks traded for Middleton in 2013, the same year they drafted Giannis Antetokounmpo, and during his time with the team, Middleton has been named an All-Star three times.

While coming off the bench this season, Middleton is averaging 12.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.

The trade brings in forward Kyle Kuzma and small forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. Kuzma this season is averaging 15.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

Baldwin is a name Milwaukee fans likely know well as the Green Bay native played for the Milwaukee Panthers during the 2021 to 2022 college basketball season.

The Bucks are currently in 5th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 26-22 and they likely hope this trade can help them make a strong playoff push.

The Bucks will be next in action Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. in Charlotte when they take on the 12-35 Hornets.
