VALDERS, Wis. (WFRV) β Wisconsin State Senator Andre Jacque held a listening session at the Valders Community Center on Monday.
While town hall events across the country have gotten out of control in recent weeks, Jacque told Local 5 News that these sessions in Wisconsin remain peaceful. He explained that they are not solely focused on one issue but can cover topics such as the state budget and independent legislation.

“Trying to have them in as relaxed a format as possible, trying to have an hour and a half to two hours to have people stop in with their questions, and itβs really helpful for me as a policymaker to have these conversations,” Jacque said.
Jacque also held a session at the Chilton Library later on Monday and plans to hold more listening sessions within his district in the future.
