APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A Shawano man was arrested on Thursday morning in Appleton for multiple attempts to try and enter apartments while exposing himself in a hallway.
According to the Appleton Police Department, a man was arrested after a suspicious complaint filed around 5:30 a.m. led to officers going to the 1600 block of East Harding Drive on a report that a man was trying to enter apartments.

The suspect was allegedly exposing himself in a common area of the building while attempting to get inside, and when officers arrived, he fled and forced himself into an unlocked unit. Officers went to find him, but he jumped from the second-story balcony.
He was found by officers outside and subsequently arrested. However, due to a serious foot injury he suffered from jumping, he was treated at a hospital. The man was later identified as 37-year-old Jonathan Lupe of Shawano, and he faces the following charges.
- Two counts of disorderly conduct
- One count of lewd/lascivious behavior
- One count of criminal trespassing
- One count of resisting/obstructing
- Misdemeanor bail jumping
- Probation hold
