Students in Fox Valley Association come together for sportsmanship summit

KIMBERLY, Wis. (WFRV) – Student leaders from all ten Fox Valley Association schools came together on Wednesday to participate in a sportsmanship summit at Kimberly High School.

The purpose of the summit is to bring together the leaders of student sections from every school to provide a consistent message of sportsmanship regarding expectations at athletic events, such as appropriate cheese and behaviors.

The students brainstormed ways to bring more student attendance to the events and potential activities to create more excitement at the games.

Each school brought around ten to 12 students to the event, which was facilitated by the conference’s athletic directors and coaches.

Students spent time in groups among students from their own schools and breakout into groups with students from other schools.

The Fox Valley Association includes Appleton East, Appleton North, Fond du Lac, Hortonville, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Neenah, Oshkosh North, and Oshkosh West.
