Sturgeon Bay Police: Registered sex offender wanted after tampering with his GPS tracker, also wanted by Wisconsin DOC

STURGEON BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is actively searching for a convicted sex offender who has a felony arrest warrant for tampering with his GPS tracker.

According to a press release from the Sturgeon Bay Police Department, they’re looking for 65-year-old Bradly William Pelletier, a white male, standing 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds, with brown eyes, and is balding.

The release states he currently has a felony arrest warrant and is a convicted sex offender, having been found guilty of 1st Degree Sexual Assault of a Child in 1999, and is required to register as a sex offender for life in Wisconsin.

As part of his registration requirements, authorities say he is mandated to be monitored via GPS. He is also reportedly wanted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for a parole violation after he removed his GPS bracelet and evaded his parole.

Sturgeon Police reminded the public that under Wisconsin State Statute 946.47, it is a criminal offense to harbor to aid a felon, preventing their arrest.

They also urge anyone who has seen Pelletier or knows his whereabouts to contact local law enforcement or the Sturgeon Bay Police Department at (920) 746-2450.
