SUAMICO, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Suamico say no one is hurt after a fire that started in a garage on Sunday caused an estimated $1.3 million worth of damage.
One man arrested after possible gunshots fired inside a Wisconsin home
According to a release from the Suamico Fire Department, crews responded just before 6:00 p.m. to the 3900 block of Sunset Beach Lane for reports of a garage fire.
Upon arriving on the scene, officials say the garage was fully engulfed in flames that had also quickly spread to the rest of the house.
All of the residents inside of the home were said to have safely exited before the fire intensified leading to no reported injuries.
We’re thankful everyone made it out safely, and we appreciate the efforts of all responding agencies who acted quickly to prevent further damage to nearby structures. We encourage everyone to stay vigilant by ensuring they have working smoke detectors and a fire escape plan in place.

Officials say the fire caused an estimated $1.3 million in damages and has left two adults and three children without a home.
The homeowners reportedly told the fire chief that lithium batteries caused the fire but an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
