SLINGER, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin are searching for individuals who allegedly stole a four-foot-tall emu liquor display statue from a Piggly Wiggly grocery store.
According to the Slinger Police Department, the incident occurred on March 8 shortly after 3:15 p.m., when unknown subjects took the emu display promoting Shanky’s Whip, a black Irish whiskey.

Shanky’s Whip joined in on the humor, commenting on social media: “OMG! This is one from our flock! This is a LIVE case, the birdnappers are on the run and they’ll be easy to spot as they’re carrying a 4-foot tall Shanky’s Whip emu.”
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Slinger Police Department and reference case #25-1367.
