WITney Educational Trailer stops in Green Bay to advocate for female truck drivers

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – American Service Line hosted an event on Wednesday morning designed to advocate for female truck drivers, bringing in the WITney Educational Trailer to their Yard at 1814 Elizabeth Street.

The trailer, which features a woman wearing a cape with her hand on a truck steering wheel, is a 53-foot trailer with educational tools. The inside of the cab contains multiple computers with quizzes, videos and trucking facts to go along with a simulation of drivign a tractor in traffic.

The trailer aims to raise awareness for its mission of Women in Trucking, which celebrates women who drive trucks while also talking about the careers that are available in trucking.

“You can get into mechanics,” truck driver Carmen Anderson said. “There’s just so many other things you can do in the industry. It’s still a male dominated industry, so we’re just trying to make it more gender equal.”
